Manchester Twestival Tickets went on sale today and after only 3 hours, half of them have been sold already!!!
So, if you're in the North West/Yorkshire/Lancashire area then why not snap up a ticket while you still can. It's going to be a great evening.
The Venue: The Living Room, Deansgate, Manchester
Date: Thursday February 12th
Time: 6.30pm onwards
There will definitely be music, drinking, the chance to meet up with like minded tweeple and a great charity auction - all in aid of a fantastic cause. Every penny of the ticket price goes to Charity:Water but thanks to the kind people at Code Computerlove www.codecomputerlove.co.uk we are able to give everyone a free drink and some mini burgers (or some such fancy buffet foodstuffs).
Hope to see you there!

Twestival is coming to Manchester
I'm very excited. Following the successful Harvest Twestival tweet up in London last year, Twestival is going global in 2009!
On 12th February (yes in less than a months time) 60 cities around the world will be holding their own Twestival Tweet up which will take different forms in different places but basically as the slogan goes, it will be a chance for people to Meet.Tweet.Give
All profits from the events will be going to the excellent charity: water and the global aim is for the individual cities to aim to raise around $4,000 dollars which is enough to drill a well for a community with no clean water. The event is going to be 100% organised by volunteers in the host cities and right now they are all beavering away, trying to drum up sponsorship from businesses to both fund the events themselves: for the venues, entertainment & for donations of awesome raffle prizes, and also to attract the interest of tweeple to buy the tickets.
I'm currently helping out on the manchester volunteers team headed up by @katierocket. It's a mamouth task but luckily there are some great people out there with excellent contacts and we have some exciting ideas. If you want to see the latest news on any of the Twestival events you can go to the website http://twestival.com or follow the @twestival thread.
For more specific info on the plans for the Manchester Twestival, find us @MancTwester!
We really hope to see lots of you there on the 12th February! Lets Tweet.Meet.Give
